Fridge Leaking Water Causes

As part of the normal function of your fridge, it produces condensation inside the freezer, which is supposed to drain into drain pan underneath the unit. Check with your refrigerator manual to locate the defrost drain. Make sure that it is not clogged or frozen. Water leak at the rear of your refrigerator

Rear refrigerator water leak very often goes unnoticed far too long, as in most of the modern kitchen layouts it is built in. Water leaking at the back of the fridge usually points to problems with water line and icemaker. In fact, if you notice that your icemaker is not getting enough water, there is a good chance there is a water paddle behind the fridge. Front water leak from fridge

Front water leak usually points to the problems with the door water dispenser. Check the line to the bottom of the water dispenser for leaks. Tighten all the connections and see if it helps stopping the leak.  

In very rare cases it can be not even water but coolant leaking. However rare, the leaking coolant still happens in refrigerators of all makes and models and  is a very serious issue and can not be treated too lightly as it a toxic substance. It happens when the coils containing coolant are physically damaged or have eroded with time. It usually is accompanied by the loss of temperature control by your refrigerator, in some cases you might hear light hissing sound as the cooler escapes the coil. The liquid itself is odorless and colorless, but it evaporates much faster than water, so if you see traces of liquid on the floor instead of a paddle, that could be it.
